Volunteer of the Month - Elaine Flaherty

Volunteer of the Month - Elaine Flaherty

Elaine spent many years working as a medical scribe and assistant for a large ophthalmology practice before retiring and moving to Hobe Sound five years ago. With a lifelong love of animals, she quickly found her place at the Nature Center.

Elaine brings a genuine kindness and positive spirit to everything she does. She is incredibly reliable, always willing to help, and consistently goes out of her way to make others feel welcome. Whether she’s greeting visitors at the front desk or thoughtfully wrapping purchases in the Owl’s Roost gift shop, Elaine adds a special warmth to every interaction.

We are so thankful for Elaine and the time, care, and dedication she shares with us here at the Nature Center. She makes each day matter for every child, every visitor, and every creature in our care.
