The Planets in "Plane" View
The Hobe Sound Nature Center in conjunction with the Astronomical Society of the Palm Beaches will host a lecture titled The Planets in "Plane" View. Following an indoor presentation at 6 PM, guests will go outside to view the night sky through telescopes.

Creepy Creature Feature
Join the Hobe Sound Nature Center for the Spooktacular event of the year! Creepy Creature Feature is a free, family-friendly event filled with crafts, games, meet and greets with some "creepy" animal ambassadors, and more! Indulge in glitter tattoos, play haunted cornhole, or, if you're brave enough, we will even have some edible insects to satisfy your creepy crawly cravings! Get dressed up in your best Halloween costume and stop by for some all-ages fun!

Hook Kids on Fishing Clinic
Hook Kids on Fishing (HKOF) is for kids between ages 5-15 and taught by professional guides, knowledgeable anglers and scientists. This hands-on, conservation-minded and educational fishing program teaches children casting, knot tying, fishing safety, catch and release, fish habitats, conservation and more!

Sea Turtle Nesting Night Walks
Join our turtle scouts and wildlife educators at the Hobe Sound Nature Center for FWC-permitted, guided sea turtle walks. This educational experience is offered Thursday and Friday evenings during the months of June and July. Our turtle walks begin at the Hobe Sound Nature Center. Registration is required.

Insects have been consumed as an important source of food by many cultures for hundreds of years. This program includes a discussion about the nutritional value of insects, insects that are likely in our food, and a savory insect tasting for each student!
