Partnering for Florida's Future: Waterway Warriors

Hobe Sound Nature Center is excited to continue its partnership with Chapman School of Seamanship for a second year of Waterway Warriors, an educational program that introduces summer camp participants to the importance of responsible boating and environmental stewardship.

Florida's waterways support an incredible variety of wildlife and ecosystems, and future boaters play an important role in protecting them. Through hands-on activities and engaging lessons, Waterway Warriors helps students understand how their actions on the water can impact wildlife, water quality, and the health of our marine environments.

As part of Chapman School of Seamanship's summer camp program, Hobe Sound Nature Center educators teach students about local wildlife, conservation challenges, and the ways responsible boating practices help preserve Florida's natural resources. Participants gain a deeper appreciation for the ecosystems that make our state unique while learning how they can become advocates for their protection.

We are proud to continue this partnership and inspire the next generation of boaters to be thoughtful stewards of Florida's waterways.
