Earth Day Celebration Brings Community Together

On April 18, 2026, Hobe Sound Nature Center welcomed more than 300 community members for our Earth Day Celebration. Families, friends, and nature lovers of all ages enjoyed an afternoon filled with live animal encounters, nature crafts, games, scavenger hunts, face painting, and meaningful connections centered around environmental stewardship.

This special event would not have been possible without the support of our incredible community partners, including Friends of the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, The Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast, The Nature Conservancy, and Center for Conservation Initiatives. Their collaboration helped create an engaging experience that highlighted the importance of protecting Florida’s wildlife and natural resources.

Seeing our community come together to celebrate our planet was truly inspiring. We’re grateful to everyone who attended, volunteered, and supported this event—and we look forward to growing this celebration in the years ahead.
