Educate, Inspire and Empower to Protect and Conserve

The Hobe Sound Nature Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works in cooperation with the Nathaniel P. Reed Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge to educate, inspire, and empower people of all ages to protect and conserve South Florida’s unique, critical habitats and wildlife.

We host transformative educational experience for people of all ages, which have contributed to the protection of countless acres of critical habitat, the restoration of fragile habitats, and ensured the survival of many threatened species.

About Us

The Hobe Sound Nature Center is a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) dedicated to inspiring and educating people of all ages through the lens of South Florida's unique, critical habitats and wildlife. We work in cooperation with the Nathaniel P. Reed Hobe Sound Wildlife Refuge to foster deep and meaningful connections between people and nature, through universally accessible indoor and outdoor programming.

How to Help

Admission to the Hobe Sound Nature Center is free, including access to non-releasable resident wildlife, hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities, exploration stations, and events. We rely on donations to ensure the care and well-being of our resident animals and to remain at the forefront of environmental education. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our donors!

Thank you to our community donors for their continued support.
