Jennifer Pelham: Creating Resilient, Sustainable Yards

Join us Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 6:00 PM for the third of our Spring Series “Nature’s Narratives” lectures, titled Creating Resilient, Sustainable Yards, with Jennifer Pelham.

Jennifer will discuss nine science-based principles that will guide you in maintaining healthy, beautiful landscapes that protect Florida’s natural resources.

Jennifer Pelham is the UF/IFAS Southeast Extension District (SEED) Associate District Director, as well as the County Extension Director and the Urban Horticulture Agent IV in Martin County.  Jennifer provides programs to the public on garden and landscape principles that promote Florida-Friendly Landscaping practices. Jennifer is a certified instructor of the Green Industry Best Management Practices and a Certified Arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture. Jennifer has her Bachelor of Science degree from the Pennsylvania State University and two Master’s Degrees from the University of Florida, including one in Pest Management. She’s worked in Extension for over 24 years with the University of Florida in Osceola, Orange, and Martin Counties, in addition to the University of California in San Diego and Orange Counties.
