The Intersection of Art and Conservation

  • Hobe Sound Nature Center 13640 Southeast Federal Highway Hobe Sound, FL, 33455 United States (map)

Join artist and Photographer Jeff Biege in a relaxed discussion about the intersection of conservation/wildlife photography and art. A slide show presentation will feature beautiful images of local wildlife from around the state of Florida. Every image has a story!

Jeff Biege, Wildlife Photographer

Jeff's lifetime in the ocean and seeing the changes that were taking place inevitably led him to non profit and conservation work. Joining the Surfrider Foundation in the mid 90s the problems with plastic pollution and water quality issues on local beaches were just starting to be felt in Florida. Jeff's focus now with his imagery is to highlight the beauty of the ocean and create art, while bringing environmental issues to the surface and helping to educate people about what's going on in our beautiful oceans. Working with conservation groups in Florida and Hawaii has allowed Jeff to use his images as a powerful tool to raise awareness and educate the public on what we can all do to ensure a healthy planet for future generations.
